Tortoise shell nailsHow to make and match them

Tortoise shell nails can be done on the whole nail or replace the classic white smile line of the french manicure, you can choose a glossy or glitter finish, combine them with plain nails or other animal patterns. If you usually can’t choose which colours use and you make your beautician lose patience at every appointment, this time there is no doubt: warm tones and amber shades.

Tortoise shell Tips

To achieve this manicure goal, the layering technique is used, the layering of several colours to achieve the desired final shade. At Passione Beauty we created the first layer by mixing brown and yellow, curing it. Then, with the same shade of brown we drew the typical dark spots reminiscent of the reptile shell, polymerising the layer. We did a third coat combining brown and yellow, touching up the spots with the appropriate brushes and curing all. In the fourth pass we applied the yellow, touched up the stains and we cured everything. On the still wet layer we applied the gold leaves and finished with a transparent gloss finish and the final polymerisation. Also, if you combine your such a wild-chic nail design with scarves and glasses in the same pattern, you will hit the jackpot.
