all you need to know about Monophasic builder gels

How many times have you been undecided on which builder gel to use? There are so many and it is not always easy to guess the best one for our needs. It is important to know the difference between monophasic, biphasic and triphasic gels, discussed in the dedicated article. What differentiates them, apart from the density, is how you can use them. In this article we delve into the single-phase builder gels, discovering their functions and characteristics.

Nail sculpting involves three essential functionalities: creating the base, building the structure and sealing the manicure. The monophasic gel performs all these functions in one product, speeding up the nail technician's work. It is practical to work with and is good for nails that have no special needs or imperfections. Their all-in-one formula does not exclude proper nail preparation, which involves the application of Nail Prep and Binder to facilitate adhesion. Next, the Nail Form is applied and the slip layer is created over the entire nail surface, without touching the cuticles. You then build the apex and your structure is almost done! After each application has cured, you can remove the sticky layer and file. In the tables below, you can see our range of monophasics, together with their distinctive properties. They are all made with an acid-free formula and have a powerful blue filter that prevents them from yellowing over time. Those in our Master range do not release heat in the lamp, so they are perfect for the most sensitive hands and summer.
What differentiates them, apart from the colouring, is the density. Those with medium-low density have a more liquid consistency, are suitable for short lengthening and need to be worked quickly. Those with medium-high density are stiffer to work with and better for longer extensions, suitable for large areas to be covered with more margin for error.

Palladium is ideal for creating small extensions. In addition, its transparent colouring makes it perfect for applying any shade afterwards, be it a gel color or gel polish. It cures in a UV lamp in 120 seconds, while under a UV/LED lamp it cures in 60 seconds. Both release little heat during curing, Palladium is firm.
